Rx. Pulsatillae Bai Tou Weng 30g Principle herb for treating dysenteric disorders, relieves Fire toxin, especially at the Blood level, clears Damp-Heat and stops diarrhea.
With Huang Lian and Qin Pi, for Damp-Heat or epidemic dysenteric disorders.
Cx. Ailanthi Chun Pi 15g Clears Heat, astringes the Intestines, dries Dampness, stops diarrhea and stops bleeding.
Cx. Phellodendri Huang Bai 9g Drains Damp-Heat especially from the Lower Jiao.
With Chi Shao, for hot, bloody dysenteric disorders.
Cx. Fraxini Qin Pi 9g Astringes diarrhea, drains Damp-Heat and enhances the actions of the other herbs.
With Bai Tou Weng and Huang Bai, for hot dysenteric disorders.
With Bai Tou Weng and Huang Lian, for diarrhea or dysentery with tenesmus due to Damp-Heat.
Rx. Paeoniae Alba Bai Shao 9g Nourishes Blood, regulates menstruation, astringes Yin, adjusts the Ying and Wei, calms Liver Yang and Liver Wind, softens the Liver and alleviates pain.
With Dang Gui, nourishes Yin and Blood.
Rx. Paeoniae Rubra Chi Shao 9g Invigorates the Blood, dispels Blood Stasis, relieves pain, clears Heat and cools the Blood.
With Bai Shao, for spasms and cramping pain associated with Blood Deficiency and Blood Stagnation.
Rx. Angelicae Sinensis Dang Gui 9g Nourishes and invigorates Blood, moistens the Intestines, unblocks the bowels and alleviates pain.
With Bai Shao, regulates and harmonizes Qi and Blood for Blood Deficiency Heat.
Fr. Aurantii Immaturus Zhi Shi 9g Breaks up Stagnant Qi, reduces accumulation, descends Qi, unblocks the bowels and removes Stagnant Food.
With Bai Shao, for abdominal pain due to Qi and Blood Stagnation.
Rz. Coptidis Huang Lian 3g Resolves toxic Heat in the Intestines, drains Stomach Fire and dries Dampness.
Cx. Magnoliae Officinalis Hou Po 3g Promotes the movement of Qi in the Middle Jiao and resolves Stagnation.
With Zhi Shi, for abdominal or chest distention, focal epigastric distention, wheezing, shortness of breath, nausea, rebellious Qi or constipation from Cold, Heat, Dampness or Phlegm as long as clumped Qi is at the root of the problem.
With Huang Lian, for acute diarrhea associated with sudden turmoil disorder from Damp-Heat.
